How to arrange the production schedule for mold production

I currently work in a mould factory, mainly producing tungsten steel molds. The molds are basically produced in PCS and shipped in PCS.

Mold orders received, delivery time is urgent, and delivery time changes frequently.

How to conduct effective production scheduling to meet a large number of inserts, or a large number of delivery time changes in customer requirements.

Is the ERP production scheduling system suitable for die production scheduling? Or other special mold production scheduling software?

Or is it manual, manual control by experienced employees?

Welcome to participate in the discussion and make progress together. Thank you!

Just follow the following principles:

The first plan:

1. Rules of first-come-first-served planning for raw materials.

2. Minimum processing time rules. Short processing time comes first.

3. The principle of the earliest delivery date.

4. The principle of minimum relaxation time. (slack time refers to the time between the current time and the delivery date minus the processing time)

The second plan is carried out in the following order:

The most important and the most urgent.

Important but not urgent.

It's urgent but not important.

It's not important, it's not urgent.
